Mishawaka unveils Shoe City project honoring city’s sneaker legacy

Mishawaka has launched the Shoe City USA project, celebrating its sneaker legacy with large sculptures of Red Ball Jets, which were produced by Ball-Band in the 1950s. The initiative, funded entirely through private donations exceeding $100,000, aims to honor the city's rich history in footwear. One sculpture is now displayed at Ironworks Plaza.
