South Bend secures $14.5M for water system upgrades

The Indiana Finance Authority has approved over $14.5 million in low-interest loans for South Bend to enhance its drinking water infrastructure. The funding will facilitate the rehabilitation of the Edison Water Filtration Plant, replace lead service lines, and design a project to address PFAS at the North Water Treatment Plant, benefiting public health and saving utilities money.
